Know My Heart

You know, I hate to comment on anything on facebook or any social media. I’m always worried I’m going to say the wrong thing or maybe not say a sentence correctly causing people judge me. So I just don’t comment except to click on like it or love it.  I know what you’re thinking, but you write a blog! I know I know…. It’s because the blog is for God and through him, I share thoughts with you guys.  I know my God wouldn’t judge me for this or what my heart has revealed as long as I’m in his will. No, I’m not perfect and yes I make mistakes.  As it says in 1 Samuel 16:7,

““But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV

So we shouldn’t be worried about what other people think but we should worry about how our heart looks to our heavenly Father.  It is not just our heart but our thoughts as well.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts:” Psalm 139:23 KJV

If you think about it our thoughts (what we ponder on, listen to, or watch) goes to our heart. We need to be careful how we think, how we act and how we talk. There are no secrets with God. He sees all. We cannot hide our wrongdoing from him. He knows. So if anything, we need to be worried about what he thinks and do right by God.

So next time if you worry about what someone thinks, you should change your thoughts to this,  “ Will my God be pleased with me if I do this, my thoughts, my actions or how I speak?”

Praying for you!
