God Got This!

Worry , Worry , and Worry!

It’s exhausting, isn’t it? To worry constantly? The what if’s and could be’s?

With the way things are in this world, it’s understandable why we often worry or even stress ourselves out with the consistant worrying. I mean it’s hard not to watch the news without getting worrisome about it. I’ll one of the first to admit that I catch myself worrying sometimes. But as I catch myself in that position, I often must remind myself that God’s got this! I want to share few verses with you that helped me through it.

Psalms 85:8 says, “I will listen to what God the Lord says: he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants but let them not turn to folly”

To me and in my own words this verse means, I will listen and trust my God when he promises peace but I must not become foolish and gone astray from him.

It’s kinda like in my last devotion when you lack faith, there’s a possibility that you in faith could sink like Peter did when he got out of the boat and he tried walking on water. He was doing great till he started to worry, stress out, get scared and began to doubt Jesus.  The point is nothing is possible without faith.

So, if you don’t listen to God and you astray from Him, you may not feel the peace that God has to offer. However, when you do listen, pray, seek His will, and worship, then the peace of God is an amazing feeling to have. Give him a chance.

John 14:27 -Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled an do not be afraid.

This verse has always been comforting to me? It’s probably one of my favorite verses to read when I start getting worried about something.

Here’s a few more verses that helps me as well.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 NIV

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 NIV

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 NIV

Go talk to God and listen. Have faith of a mustard seed. It’s going to be okay, because

                               God got this!
