“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:14 NIV
I remember when my daughter Anne was born. They were concerned about her blood count being low. They put her in NICU. I remember crying non stop for hours that day. I emptied 2 Kleenex boxes that day, that’s how much I was crying. My poor husband was trying to help me and comfort me but at the same time I knew he was having a hard time too. I remember praying but I was very exhausted .The amount of exhaustion and stress was so overwhelming. I remember going to NICU and seeing her and I felt so helpless. I was a mess and having high blood pressure didn’t help either. That evening the hospital wanted me go to a nearby Ronald McDonald house to stay there but we wouldn’t go. One of the nurses there was kind enough to let us stay in one of the rooms that was empty but only for that night. I remember around 8:00 or 9:00 that night one of the nurses came into our room and told us that Anne was fine and her blood work came back normal this time. The doctors and nurses couldn’t even explain how all that had changed. The joy that Rob and I felt was indescribable as if a dark cloud was lifted. I remember thinking how could this be. We were able to finally rest after Anne was in the room with us and asleep next to me.
We went home the next day but it wasn’t till several days later that I found out several different churches in our surrounding communities was praying for us that day. A friend showed me a printout of the facebook posts and the messages and prayers that everyone was saying. (We didn’t have a facebook account at that time). I was in awe and I knew then it was the people that banded together in faith praying and God heard. I’m convinced that as everyone began to pray, God heard and God moved.
“For where two or three father in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
Combining prayer with faith of mustard seed makes it stronger.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 NIV
Always give thanks to God after prayers.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV
Pray for someone today and give thanks always!
As always, I’m praying for you!
